The Muslims, The Sundelles, The Corvinas, Ken Club 5/25/07

Last night there were some good choices for going out, but if the Ken Club has a good show lined up, I'm always going to take the easy choice and walk there over driving to the Zombie, Scolari's or the Casbah. So I missed The Vision of a Dying World & Red Feathers, I missed Dirty Sweet & Mr Tube, and I missed Roxy Jones and the Modlins...but I got to chill at the Ken Club and see 3 strong bands, a bunch of friends, and get the most excellent drinks poured for me (only after I had things thrown at me for my "Let the Charger's Go" comment in the Reader.) Devlin will get over it.

Anyway, there's not a whole lot to say about the show...all the bands have that great retro feel and despite playing really late, there was a good showing of people there to enjoy it. The coming three day weekend was in the air and some of us started early, bouncing back and forth between the bar and the show and plenty of adult beverages flowing. It was a really fun night for me. But I couldn't take a picture to save my life. Seriously. Bad photography, but I'm gonna post anyway. Read the feature about the Muslims in this week's CityBeat
here, and enjoy the pics.
