Friday Recap Pt 2: Great Northern @ Beauty Bar

I arrived at the Beauty Bar in good time and Roses on Her Grave was still onstage, so my guilt for splitting my night was gone. The bar was packed, though it's never easy to tell if it's because of the bands, because of promotion, or because it's the Beauty Bar on a Friday night. Great Northern took that stage and from their first note, seemed to capture the crowd. It was definitely a contrasted vibe from Cane's...that show had more Americana and folksy influences to the music, while Great Northern are much more lush and melodic. Still, both shows were great and I'm glad I was able to pull off both of them.











As is now kinda standard for me, once the band was finished I had to bail. I briefly talked to the band, thanked my friends for coming, made sure Eric (my contest winner) got his goods, and I was out the door and off to the Ken Club where I ended my night. Or where the night ended me, depending on how you look at it.
