OK, this is gonna be more just photo/youtube stuff because if you read my recap part one, you will know that I was pretty lit by the time I was at the Casbah. I mean, I was still in my dress. at. the. casbah. I even brought my jeans/hoodie/docs combo in the car, but getting out of the spanx (big girls know what I'm talking about here) was not gonna happen. Thanks to Dangerbird Records and All Smiles for the spot on the list because this show SOLD OUT and no begging was getting anyone else in. Which really was kinda unfortunate because a lot of friends were turned away. Unfortch, I got there mid set for All Smiles, but after listening to the CD repeatedly over the past couple weeks, I was loving every bit of what I did see. And man, is Jim Fairchild a hottie or what? (My pics suck, but Natalie should have her's up soon)
Later on, I was chatting with Jim. Apologies for any verbal nonesense that might've come out of my mouth. In fact, apologies to anyone who had to listen to me ramble on last night. Just one of those nights...
This was All Smiles' final song, Of Course It's Not Up To Me.
Just before Menomena started, I was bold enough to squeeze toward the front and make nice with the cool people up front who I actually told about my blog and if it would be ok if I took some pictures if I promised to get outta their way after the first song. They were cool and pushed me up front, so I got some pics, but then I was outta there with a quickness, and ended up bouncing around the bar for most of the show.
Menomena had a "dream catcher" on their drum kit. Silly hippies. ;) Anyway, the show was fun, and everyone I saw was having a good time, and all the kids were out to play (at least the ones who weren't at the Rosebuds at the Belly Up) to kick off the weekend a day early. Like I said before, Natalie was up front during the show, so check out her site for better pics, but here's a few to give you an idea of the multi-instrument goodness of Menomena...
Like I said, I spent a lot of the show on the smoking patio. Here's a couple pics of my friends who seemed to be having just as much fun as me...Jackson (The Vision of A Dying World, Action Jackson presents), Emily (Bunky), and Andrea.
Go see Jackson tonight at the Ché Café! It's gonna be good!

You looked purdy last night, for the 0.2 seconds I saw you. Sorry I didn't hang, but I was dragging on my feet after an 11.5 hour workday.
I'll be at the Che Cafe tonight - hit me up if you want to get some beers at the pub on campus beforehand.

What...the...fuck?
Also re: Jackson: "nice haircut."
