Friday News: Street Scene Moves to Coors, Stevie Wonder Touring,

I was in a tequila induced coma for the better part of the morning (first day of freedom, not gonna make a habit of it) and missed lots of news. So here's what's making headlines (or something) today.

Street Scene is supposedly moving to Coors Amphitheatre. While I like that drive better than Del Mar, there's no public transportation there so people are gonna be pissed. I'm also not happy that if I'd like to indulge in an adult beverage, I'll now be forced to pay their exorbitant alcohol prices. Anyway, Nina Garin has the original story on Street here, with follow ups by CatDirt and Last Blog On Earth.

Stevie Wonder did indeed announce his first tour in more than 10 years. He will touch 13 cities on his US tour, from San Diego on August 23rd to Boston on September 12th.

Aug. 23 San Diego, CA- Humphrey’s Concerts by the Bay

While I won't pay for that show, might be a good night to grab a bucket of KFC and chill on the lawn in front of Humphrey's.

B-Side Players got some nice coverage in New York's Newsday today. Full article here. They also got press in Aspen. Our boys are doing well.

Magic 92.5 has announced an "End of Summer Jam" taking place at Coors on September 21st with bands like Expose and headliner Stevie B.

The fact that my stomach growled in response to reading "KFC" speaks volumes about how drunk I was last night. I guess I'll just have to settle for a hotdog at the ballpark though.

God bless the Livewire for its super-strong pint glass of Cap'n and Coke, and God bless Pete for picking me up from downtown...
