Friday Newsy Bits

Last night was pretty mellow. I met Andrea and Francine at the Prado for Happy Hour (which I ordered via phone so that I caught happy hour prices which end at 6) and then Andrea and I went to the Museum of Art for the Annie Liebowitz exhibit. It was pretty crowded, but the line wasn't too bad when we went through. The exhibit is beautiful and tragic and the juxtaposition of her personal story, including pics of her family, her friends, her trips, etc., with her jobs for Vanity Fair...portraits of celebrities and artists and presidents and a really spooky soulless picture of the Bush Administration. Definitely check it out. The Prado has a really cool deal on Thursdays that includes a 3 course meal, a bottle of wine, and two passes to the museum for $79.95. We opted for a double happy hour...food and drinks, the museum, then back for the late happy hour from 8-10p. After I decided to skip all shows because this weekend is gonna be jam packed with stuff...
