Where's the Beer?

Anybody notice there are a lot of good beers out there right now? Since I was browsing taps I thought I would mention a few.

I was looking at one of my favorite locations in North Park Hamilton's Tavern. I frequently check out their web page because it is updated often. I scrolled down to the bottom of the page and noticed the flood of Russian River beers in the "Drafts on Deck" section. It is full of Russian River beers. I love beers with the words Lacto, Brett or Pedio in their description. Stone does most of the distribution of beer in San Diego so one could make a calculated guess that there are more pubs in San Diego with Russian River Sour Beers on tap, so keep your eyes out! I would bet that O'Brien's Pub will probably be having some of these precious kegs since San Diego didn't get enough from the "TION" night during their Anniversary month.

If Sours are not your thing, there is the 12 IPAs on tap event at Churchill's Pub which is proudly called Hopacolypse. If you like Belgiums, head over to the Toronado on 30th. They will have Maredsous 6 (Blonde), 8 (Dubbel) and 10 (Trippel) on draft. If that is not good enough, they will also have one of the last casks of Alesmith's My Bloody Valentine. Drink up!

Other taps I have seen around the county include fresh kegs from Alpine, Lost Abbey, Green Flash, Lightning Brewery and Ballast Point.

Upcoming Events on my beer calender:

[To kick it all off, head over to Livewire tonight for Airdale pint night. Local brewer Airdale Brewing will be serving up the beer and bargoer extraordinaire Lety M. will be serving up guaranteed tasty paired foods from LiveWire. All Airdale pints served in keeper pint glasses for $4 all night long. Doors open at 5pm!---Rosemary]
