Most important: There has been a jump in crime in Hillcrest, North Park and surrounding areas. Councilwoman Toni Atkins will have a series of community meetings to discuss the issues. WE are the ones who walk down these streets at night, bar to bar, bar to car, what have you...WE are the most vulnerable and WE have the right to demand protection in these areas. Please try to make one of the meetings. There is one today at the LGBT Community Center at 5 pm. (There is another one at the North Park Rec Center on Wednesday at 6:30 if you're like me and don't get out of work early enough for today's meeting.)
BTW- Tonight's meeting is at the LGBT Community Center at 3909 Centre Street.
