damn. what an awesome night for local music. there's about 4 other shows that would be my "Plan A" on any given night, but most likely i'll be at ours.

anyone who stays home tonight is a sucker. Ken Club, Tower Bar, Whistlestop. Even our friends over at O'Connells have a great line-up.

and we played with Eux Autres last night, they were awesome.

The Imperial Teen/Midnight Movies/Loverlee show was excellent. The Casbah was only about 2/3 capacity, and there wasn't a hipster cliche in sight, which made for a great atmosphere. I only caught the last song by Loverlee, but they were smiley and unpretentious and used a train whistle in the song. Midnight Movies were atmospheric and all-encompassing in sound, yet also unpretentious. Imperial Teen was jaunty and playful, and Will even giggled through his mistakes, calling them "stinkers." It's the most fun show I've attended in San Diego in years.
