You might notice in my "Things to Do" section a venue that I haven't posted before. A friend of mine posted about a show happening at a place called Vinbladh's, so after a little inquiry, I decided to finally post about it.
Vinbladh's is a little café in University Heights, across the street from El Zarape and equidistant between Mueller's Massage school and Lancer's, in the little green cottage. They have a calendar with some strong bookings, a lot of stuff you might've expected at Twiggs but can't see there anymore because of their lease issues (though they've been booking at Mueller's). I will be adding them on a regular basis to my Things to Do list so keep an eye out. The café itself specializes in Swedish delights and has a small food menu mostly focused on desserts. Jennifer "Damn" Barnes is working there full time (formerly of Ken Cinema and Claire De Lune) so stop by and say hi.
