The Rapture are playing at the Beauty Bar next Thursday night, April 26th. It's a good option if you're not going to the Arcade Fire show, only problem is there are limited tickets and you cannot buy them. If you weren't one of the lucky 50 to get a ticket last night during the dance off, here's the deal on getting your tickets:
The show is being presented by the same company that put on the show for the Faint a while back which cannot legally advertise promotions. Those people will be at The Beauty Bar tonight and tomorrow, and if you sign up for their swag, you will receive at ticket. Capacity is 200, and once all the friends of Beauty Bar are given tickets and minus the 50 last night, they will go fast. In typical fashion, more tickets will be given to the show than the Beauty Bar can hold, too, so a ticket doesn't necessarily guarantee entry, but you can go check it out tonight and tomorrow and try to grab one.
By the way, The Rapture are playing a set and also doing DJ sets, so they will perform around 10:30 ish, so even if you are going to Arcade Fire, you should be able to make it in time if the stars align.
Your best bet- get to the Beauty Bar tonight, and get there early. Oh, and you didn't hear it from me.
